What happens at our sessions?
By asking you challenging questions, whatever it is you want to change or improve about your lifestyle, habits, relationships, etc., we will get to the root of the issues at hand. This process evolves organically, and knowing we are all together in this thing called life, I create an environment of trust, calm, and easy communication where you will feel safe to explore all possibilities. I take my work seriously but I also believe it should be fun to explore and grow so I bring a certain levity to our sessions. Laughter is tremendously beneficial to our health and well being!
Eriksonian Hypnosisis a concentrated focus inward. Nothing will be 'done' to you and you will be conscious throughout. I will make sure you are comfortable with the process at all times.You will still be aware of your surroundings but in a detached sort of way. The conscious mind is very active and wants answers. It’s very analytical, logical, and asks ‘why’. It wants to understand. The unconscious mind is intuitive, creative, and non-rational. It can balance many ideas at once and is open to all of them simultaneously. Metaphorically speaking, the conscious mind takes a back seat while the unconscious mind drives - you are then more receptive to suggestions.
Eriksonian hypnosis can help you enter a relaxed, comfortable, trance state for obtaining specific outcomes. Trance is a naturally occurring state in which one's attention is narrowly focused and relatively free of distractions. Hypnosis is not mind control or brainwashing. When you are in a trance state, your conscious mind and all of its mental activity can rest, allowing your unconscious mind to absorb all suggestions to create the changes you desire. With Ericksonian hypnosis, the suggestions are indirect and metaphorical and speak the language of the client so that there is a deeper resonance in which to bring about the changes desired.
Holistic healing is the process of examining and enriching the ‘whole’ of your well-being. The quality of the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual facets of your life are in a constant state of evolution; the goal is to have a healthy balance between them. You may only consider diet and exercise as your primary forms of nourishment, yet your everyday activities all play a part in your joy or unhappiness. Consider how you play and have fun, how you connect with others, learn and grow, along with how you've created your home environment, etc. All of these facets of your life play a part in your overall health. All too often we try to 'fix' our problems with a pill, drugs, or alcohol. Obviously this is not the answer and eventually these strategies prove unsuccessful and counter- productive. By looking at your lifestyle as a whole, we will work together as you make those fundamental changes needed to achieve the right life balance. Change is not always easy, however by taking incremental steps toward improving your life, you will see transformation in both subtle and dramatic ways.
There are no standard timelines for your specific program. There are no ‘short cuts’ and I can’t perform magic but I will work with you to establish what makes the most sense for your budget and schedule in order for you to achieve your goals.
Are there program time lines?
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is a powerful and extremely effective behavioral method for creating healthy interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships. It also allows you to change, adopt or eliminate limiting beliefs and behaviors, and in turn gives you the ability to choose your mental, emotional, and physical states of well-being. NLP is essentially the study of how your brain makes you behave and feel the way you do. We learn our behavior from our experiences and the people around us as we grow up, all of which programs our brain to perceive things and to react to the world in a certain way. NLP allows you to understand what these programs are and reprogram them. Since behavior is learned, it can be unlearned.
